About this Artwork
‘Tokerau’ is inspired by northern manaia forms, specifically from an old carving from Doubtless Bay, near Whangaroa, where Madison is from. One origin of the name Te Tai Tokerau, talks about the tides of many/plentiful pūrātoke (glow worms/phosphorescence).
Print Size A2 - 594mm x 420mm
Framed Size 510mm x 690mm
Edition No. 2/20
Printed by endemicworld on textured heavy-weight 100% cotton rag w/ archival inks
Framed by endemicworld
Floated in a White Box Frame w/ a jade green mat board and Art Glass (AR70)
By mounting the art to a backing board, this framing style creates a three-layered effect, with depth between the board, print, and glass. It's ideal for art with a deckled edge. It adds a shadow, enhancing the artwork’s dimension. It's a cool choice - something different and very stylish.
Finished with AR70 Art Glass, it reduces reflections and glare, ensuring the print remains the focal point.
