New Roots Limited Edition Art Print by Lucy Davidson

Sale price$125.00
Limited Edition

A Lucy Davidson print from a series inspired by mangroves and the important role they play in our ecosystem. Bent low over the water, gnarled and knotty, the mangroves cast shadows across the surface, giving the work a moody, earthy feel and plenty of quiet atmosphere.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Lucy Davidson

Lucy Davidson grew up on the Tutukaka coast in Northland and moved to Auckland to attend Elam School of Fine Arts. She graduated with a BFA (Honours) in 2013. She has traveled extensively, around Europe and Southeast Asia, and has worked on a wide variety of artistic projects. These include large scale murals, independent graphic design work, and a film internship.

Her abstract paintings explore the notion that nature and human emotion are interconnected and affect each other. Memories are inherent in our natural landscape. Colour and scale represent her own emotions and connect people
to theirs.
