Floated in Raw Box Frame w/ Art Glass (AR70)
By mounting the art to a backing board, this framing style creates a three-layered effect, with depth between the board, print, and glass. It's ideal for art with a deckled edge or tight signature. It also adds a shadow, enhancing the artwork’s dimension.
Finished with AR70 Art Glass, it reduces reflections and glare, ensuring the print remains the focal point.
About the Artist
Lucy Davidson grew up on the Tutukaka coast in Northland and moved to Auckland to attend Elam School of Fine Arts. She graduated with a BFA (Honours) in 2013. She has traveled extensively, around Europe and Southeast Asia, and has worked on a wide variety of artistic projects. These include large scale murals, independent graphic design work, and a film internship. Her abstract paintings explore the notion that nature and human emotion are interconnected and affect each other.
Memories are inherent in our natural landscape. Colour and scale represent her own emotions and connect people to theirs. Lucy is currently engaged in working with at-risk youth, using art to retell stories and engage in dialogue.
