At endemicworld, doing good business means supporting arts, the local economy and reducing our environmental footprint. Here are some of the things we focus on.
Our business model is built on a win-win foundation. We work closely with artists, giving them a platform to showcase and sell their work without any listing fees or upfront costs. We cover the costs of printing and framing their work to a super high standard. In return, the artists focus on what they do best—creating. It’s a partnership that helps artists thrive while giving you access to inspiring, one-of-a-kind art.

Annual Matariki Fundraiser - Matariki offers a special opportunity to celebrate Aotearoa's Māori artists while giving back to the community. Each year, we commission a local artist to create an artwork, donating 100% of its retail price to a charity of their choice. We also cover the printing costs and pay the artist for their time and creative effort.

Mentorship - Elliot Alexander, our owner, dedicates a lot of time to supporting artists. From sharing advice to offering mentorship, he helps artists navigate their careers, grow their practices, and bring their ideas to life. He creates a collaborative and connected creative community, where everyone thrives together.
Fundraisers and School Fairs - We donate a selection of prints each year to the local primary school, helping them raise funds through auctions at their school fair.
The majority of our products are proudly made here in Aotearoa, New Zealand. By working with local manufacturers and suppliers, we not only ensure high-quality products but also contribute to the growth of our community.
Production and Packaging - We reuse packaging wherever possible and embrace an on-demand manufacturing approach. Our courier bags? Made from Pollast!c. Our boxes? Crafted in New Zealand, Aotearoa from recycled cardboard and sealed with paper tape.
On-demand - Made to order manufacturing means we only make what’s already sold—no waste, no mass production overseas. It reduces shipping, ensures epic quality control and even lets us customise pieces just for you. Quality over quantity, always.
Built to Last - We make art prints that will last decades. High quality archival pigment inks, acid free and cotton rag media, real wooden frames with glass glazing (not plastic). All of these elements mean the art prints you buy from us will look epic for decades and not need constant replacing like the many consumable products we have in our world today.

LegaSea - Our owner, Elliot, is passionate about fishing and photography. His art prints, featured at endemicworld are all about the ocean. Supporting this non-profit is about protecting New Zealand’s marine environment and encouraging restoration projects.
Our culture is built on respect, creativity and a shared passion for everything art. We strive to create a work environment that encourages collaboration, innovation and a deep appreciation for the diverse perspectives that make us who we are. You will experience that culture when you visit our gallery. Please take photos, ask questions and please visit often just to enjoy the art works we display. We are an open kitchen so you can also see us producing the art in our studio.
The best way to have no impact is to consume nothing. The next best thing is to support small local businesses that are striving to do better. Thanks for reading about the steps we’re taking to constantly improve, and thank you for supporting your local art gallery! :-)
