About the Artist
Julia Murray is an illustrator and typographer living in Tāmaki Makaurau. Her work has appeared on many things from book covers to beer cans for clients such as Harper Collins, Huffer and Garage Project. She has a background in graphic design where her love for typography began which has led her to working in publishing where she combines type and illustration often in her work. Her use of colour is playful and her work has a sense of endearing femininity. Her recent work is aimed at children where her love of character design and storytelling is explored. In her other job she tends to the whims of a tiny Pokémon obsessed tyrant.
