About this print
Unlike the rectilinear style of earlier Ministry of Works architecture, this building is circular. It replaced a 1912 post office that had become too small. A striking feature is the precast arches that radiate out from the central atrium. It ceased operating as a post office in 1996 but is still a community landmark because of its eye-catching design.
