'View II' is a part of an ongoing series of photographs by Amy Wybrow inspired by early botanical illustrations and photographic documentation of the natural world.
Amy explores the tropical and architectural elements of glass houses.
"I am intrigued by the glass houses which have been built to create an artificial environment for exotic plant species which would not naturally survive in the New Zealand climate, and am fascinated by the way in which these spaces are tempered and curated to allow us an insight into such a seemingly alien environment."
Amy's reimagining of these hot houses in bright colours gives a sense of openness to the traditionally closed spaces and provides a contemporary look to her classical inspirations.
