Our Matted Art-Ready Frames are our take on the most traditional way to frame a print or work on paper. A matted frame has a border of thick acid free card—called a mat—between the artwork and the frame.

The mat creates breathing space around the artwork and keeps it from sitting directly against the glass. It can make a smaller artwork feel more substantial, give a piece a polished, finished look and help protect fragile works on paper.
