Our Matted Art-Ready Frames are our take on the most traditional way to frame a print, photograph or work on paper. A matted frame has a border of acid-free matboard between the artwork and the frame.
The mat creates breathing space around the artwork and helps keep it from sitting directly against the glass. It can make a smaller artwork feel more substantial, give the piece a polished, finished look and help protect delicate works on paper.
