About the Artist
Colin’s artwork is driven by a deep fascination with the beauty and variety of fish — in all their colours, shapes and sizes. His inspiration comes from closely observing the natural world and translating what he sees into intricate, expressive watercolours.
Entirely self-taught, Colin spends hours perfecting each piece, from the first pencil sketch to the final brushstroke. He experiments with a mix of brushes, pencils, water-based pens and colour tubes to capture the unique features of each species — carefully layering tones to get the colours just right.
For Colin, it’s all in the details. Eyes, fins, tails, gills and scales are more than just features — they’re the parts that bring the whole fish to life.
