About this print
The clock tower was built in 1950 and became known as the Rothmans Clock Tower because, at one time, it was owned by Rothmans, who put a Rothmans sign on it and painted it the blue of their company colours. When control was passed over to the Clock Tower Trust, they changed the colours to the orange and blue it is today. They chose orange because they wanted the tower to stand out in all weathers.
