Carmel Van Der Hoeven is a self taught multidisciplinary artist who uses illustration, painting and ceramics to explore her creative ideas resulting in a diverse range of work. Carmel’s work is very intimate and often depicts domestic scenes from her everyday life, with the use of colour, gesture and texture Carmel transforms ordinary subjects into exciting artworks that are evident of the human hand that has created them.
