About this print
The 13-metre-high clock tower was built in 1934, from designs by architect Harold White. The clock was originally in the tower of the Cambridge post office, which was build in 1908. Unfortunately, by 1931, cracks had developed in the tower and it was dismantled. The clock was refurbished and placed in the new tower.
