About this print
Lucy's Restore print speaks about the importance of mangroves filters working to protect a dynamic river system. Many of their branches are bent low over the water. Gnarled, and knotty, they cast shadows over murky waters.

About this Framing Style
This style features a custom mat surround, enhancing the artwork with an offset. Often considered a more traditional framing style, the addition of a border creates a larger, striking finish. It adds depth while providing a clean, timeless look.
About the Artist
Lucy Davidson grew up on the Tutukaka coast in Northland and moved to Auckland to attend Elam School of Fine Arts. She graduated with a BFA (Honours) in 2013. She has traveled extensively, around Europe and Southeast Asia, and has worked on a wide variety of artistic projects. These include large scale murals, independent graphic design work, and a film internship. Her abstract paintings explore the notion that nature and human emotion are interconnected and affect each other.
Memories are inherent in our natural landscape. Colour and scale represent her own emotions and connect people to theirs. Lucy is currently engaged in working with at-risk youth, using art to retell stories and engage in dialogue.
