About this painting
Brenda’s process is very much an organic, natural approach to painting, beginning with sweeping, free-flowing layers of colour juxtaposed with definitive markings and outlines to create the composition and story of each piece.
Although she resides in Auckland, the Coromandel is where Brenda feels most at home. The beach, trees, nature - raw and beautiful, are the subjects of Brenda’s work. Her organic, natural approach to painting begins with sweeping, free-flowing layers of colour juxtaposed with definitive markings and outlines to create the composition and story of each piece. Brenda’s style is eclectic in colour, style and form but she remains constant in her love of painting.
