About the Artist
Lisa Billing is the artist behind Hey Maker Studio, from the small coastal town of Waihi Beach. She spends her time painting in her home studio around her two young daughters and fiancé.
Lisa’s style of painting shows through her love of textured, tonal colour palette's and a strong influence from the tropics and celebrating women.
“I am always working with my hands and love a creative challenge. My interest in painting was reignited during the recent lockdown and since then, I’ve managed to gain a steady amount of traction with offering originals, fine art prints and working through commissions. Things are moving really fast, but in the right direction and it's all very encouraging."
