Sophie Melville is a Wanaka based watercolour fine artist painting with awe and wonder to create calming and peaceful art.
Sophie intuitively creates abstract paintings inspired by mountains, lakes and beaches around New Zealand and overseas. Her style is serene and flowing and she chooses to paint in a limited colour palette as a reminder of the profound sense of peace gained from experiencing stillness in nature, whether that be at the sea, on a mountain, or walking in the bush or forest.
Sophie aims to share feelings of awareness through her art so that within your home you are reminded of the profound clarity felt from being in a landscape that is special to you.
