Pop Art is an art movement that began in the late 1950's in the U.K and the U.S. Just like music and fashion and other popular cultures being globalised in this era, Pop Art also challenged the traditional by hacking imagery from popular and mass culture. Pop Art is youthful and fun and anti-establishment. It includes different styles of painting and art from various countries, but in common has an interest in mass-media, mass-production and mass-culture.
