Luana Asiata is an award-winning London based artist, a native New Zealander of Samoan heritage, she studied painting at Elam School of Fine Arts and worked as an Art Editor for various publishing and corporate firms in London.
Luana's striking designs are inspired by her love of reductive abstract shapes, colour and patterns found in nature, architecture, and photography. Objects, photographs, and words trigger a memory or a feeling that she tries to interpret in her work that tells a story of a place, its people and energy.
She is an avid doodler, constantly drawing on paper and creating digital paintings in Procreate that then inform her paintings and fine art prints. Each collection shows her expressive and diverse style, a mix of intuitive marks, texture, and bold colours.
