Justine Summers was born and raised in Central Otago and now lives in Nelson. She is a working member of both Wanaka Arts and Nelson Suter Arts Society and enjoys working in all mediums. Two years ago she reconnected with her love of painting and challenged herself to paint a series of 10 paintings in dedication to her late father who taught her to always reach for the sky. Never did Justine expect that series to take her on the journey it did. Two years later she have a studio full of landscape paintings, all painted in oil, all painted straight from the heart. "I love how a painting always presents completely different challenges but I love everything about it and I am excited to see where it will lead me next”.
