Glen French was born in Christchurch and studied briefly at Ilam school of art in the early 80’s. While he has travelled throughout the world and seen many places he now lives in Auckland and loves it!
Working in mixed media, using recycled materials and always thinking outside the square has led him to work in metals such as bronze and copper to plastic and brass as well as the traditional paint and paper and many combinations in between. “I like the interface between the painted surface, the aged weathered surface and the clean shiny plastic surface. Couple all of that with wall art that pushes the boundary between a flat surface and 3D and you have it.”
