About the Artist
Ronelle Pienaar Jenkin is a visual artist and a freelance graphic designer who has worked in the industry since 2007 after obtaining a BA in Visual Brand Communication in South Africa. She presently resides in New Zealand where she specialises in wallpaper and textile design. Ronelle works closely with Lemon Collection in both a design and artistic capacity, and has collaborated with brands such as The Virtue, Lemon Collection, Maison Mirabeau, Ola! Films, Paper Collective, The Poster Club and The Wallpaper Magazine Store.
Ronelle’s work focuses on themes and narratives that include our sometimes bizarre inner world within the wider context of our lives, and how they do or don’t fit together. Ridicule, humour, pride, sanctimony, obscenity and irreverence are among the subjects that interest her, and are mainly explored through portrait and still life. Her preferred media includes inks, watercolours and oils.
